To celebrate Earth Day on Friday, we plan to have a small book exchange in class. We have be discussing the importance of recycling and reusing items. Students are welcome to bring in up to 3 gently used books to class and then exchange them for 'new' ones on Friday. Hopefully all books will be exchanged, but if not we will keep them and use them in our class library. If you do not want your child to participate, please let me know via a note in their Communication Folder.
We also noticed that there is a lot of litter around our school grounds on Friday when we went outside. This Friday we will go outside and clean up our environment. Please send a pair of old mittens or gloves with your child to wear. We have already discussed 'safe' items to pick up, and will review this before we go outside.
